Challenges and Change in Early Childhood

Posted on Thursday, February 21st, 2008
Event date:
November 20, 2008
9:30 amto3:30 pm

Lady Gowrie Melbourne

It is important for practitioners to keep up to date with philosophies and practices, but often it is hard to find the time and energy to do so. Sometimes we feel out of the loop because we don't know what some of these new influences in early childhood are about. It can be challenging to take on new ideas and approaches when we feel very comfortable with current practice. This workshop will help you keep abreast with some of the changes that have occurred recently so that you can make informed choices about your programs.

This workshop will explore:

  • The changes that have occurred in children's services
  • Why change is sometimes difficult to embrace
  • The importance of networking with colleagues
  • Increased confidence in managing change
  • Knowledge of current philosophies and practice strategies for remaining professionals and acting as an advocate for children

Cost: $70.00
